The Real Distraction:
"Distraction is the inclination of choices towards the information or content which is either informative or entertaining but irrelevant to your goal in a given time."
So what is distraction?
There are so many definitions are there for distraction as well as, so many peoples observed there own form of distraction on the basis of there own experience in their life. so lets simplify, distraction. In simple, "the resistance which hold peoples from achieving their goals or increasing their time to achieve their goals, is what we can consider distraction"
There are again so many from of distractions, varies from people to people.
So on the basis of my experiences, i come up with the new definition,
Our current phase of life is the accumulation of various small events that have happened as well as small goals we have accomplished in the past. So success is the result of so many factors like hard work, consistency, etc but focus is one of the most important ingredient required for success and distraction reduce focus.
The distraction free hard work produces the best results. So distraction is small but more impactful factor which can increase your time to complete your goal or in some cases distraction can make it impossible achieve your goal.
So to overcome distraction, first step is to understand what really the distraction is .
There may be a various definition of distraction available but above definition is based on my own experience.
Let's understand it with the simple example,
Suppose you are selected in cycling competition, you have to compete with 10 other players.
So what should be your steps to prepare yourself for this competition?
Work out, Practice and there are so many parts are there which are required for preparation. But instead of doing this, if you just start watching videos on How to win the competition and do not practice,
What will happens?
Nothings, so this is the simple example of distraction, may be this videos are informative but you cannot win the competition just by watching this type of videos. You need to implement this, with the vital practice.
So as per the definition, a distraction is something which holds you back from achieving your goal, it can be in any form like You can watch those videos but with this videos its important to practice, which is prerequisite to win the competition.
