Every person has different goal or we can say target. Some people have a long-term goal and some people have short-term goals. We already discussed these two types of goals in previous blogposts. The goal is not the thing which we can achieve directly. This is step by step process. So this part is going to be related to the strategy to achieve goals. There is no need to say that we already started a session whose name is ‘Qualities for Success’ in which we will take some remarkable properties which define success. What is Goal

As Said, Success is a journey, not a destination. So the word destination defines goal. The goal is the end point of our journey. A goal is a destination which provides you the direction to reach there. There are so many types of goals, like business goals, life goals, career goals, etc. We discussed here about career goals. A goal is actually what we want in our life. A goal is an another name of  the target, Aim. One important thing about the goal is, Goal is a source of motivation. When you set goals in your life then these goals motivate you to reach there so the goal is also a source of motivation.

Why goal setting is necessary

Goal setting is the first step in achieving goals. So  its necessary to set goals. Following are advantages of setting goals.

1.Direction

The direction is very important according to goal. The goal gives you the direction to travel. This travel or journey is on the road of success or towards the success. The direction is very necessary in our  life, business or career. All the things like strength, the desire to hard work have no value without direction.

2. Motivation

The goal is a source of motivation. When you set a goal  you get motivation from this goal to achieve this goal. So setting goals is also helpful to get primary motivation. To know more about motivation, please read another post whose name is ‘what is motivation' on the same site.

3. Vision

Vision gives you the direction about what will happen in future. Goal also gives you a vision about future. Because when you set goals, you think about steps which will be necessary to achieve this goal. To understand, why unique vision is helpful for achieving goal go to the homepage of the site and read another blogpost whose name is ‘Unique Vision Pattern’.

4. Maximum utilization of our strength

Our limiting beliefs restricts us against maximum utilization of our energy. I already posted about limiting beliefs in previous posts. You set goals according to your choice so this thing leads you to maximum utilization of your strength.  So goal setting is also useful for maximum utilization of strength.

5. Focus

Goal is helpful to increase our focus. The coordination between our goal and our focus define our way towards achieving our goals. As more your focus about goal-less will be the path towards goal. So  its also an advantage of setting goal regarding focus. The focus is important to avoid distraction.
