Ikigai

The Japanese tool to make Meaningful, successful and long life.

So how is the morning when you woke up and you know what are the tasks that you have to do in whole day or simply whats the purpose of the day. If this is happen,The day would became more efficient. This would happen due to one word thats what we called the 'Purpose'. Purpose is very essential to make life meaningful  and successful. We frequently talked about motivation, so what make us motivated?  When we really know our goal it become easier to get motivated, simply purpose is also the source of motivation. To live a long, meaningful and satisfied life it is essential  to have a valid purpose in life. So lets start to find our purpose in life,

One Japanese concept, called ikigai is effective tool to find purpose in life. "Ikigai means the reason of being or simply the purpose to leave the bed at the morning". This model is effective to find purpose in life

Fig- Ikigai diagram

As shown,  the ikigai model consist of 4 questions which helps to find the purpose in life. Its become easier to know our purpose  whith the help of this tool.

So the questions are

1. What you love to do

The first question is what you love to do!  it includes the things while doing you forgot yourself. Mostly its related to internal happiness of person. It depends upon person to person because everyone have different hobbies. It includes writing, reading, playing any sport, etc

2. what the world needs

It includes the things which are good for the world or simply having positive impact on society or world.  Means whats the world needs from you for any good reason. For ex, if person live in a remote area, where there is a lack of education, the childrens are failed to reach the school because the distance between school and area is more then school is the ultimate need there, so this world needs a easily accessible school and teachers.

3. For what you can paid for

This question Is related to financial outcome. It includes the things for which you can get paid. For example, Consider you love to make paintings. So when you start to sell your paintings to the peoples who like to purchase paintings. So at this stage you can get paid for your skill.

4. Which you are good at.

This includes the things in  which you are good means having goos skill. It includes certain skills like writing, painting, blogging, counselling, etc

So this are the questions which are necessary to find our ikigai or simply purpose. So the process is not finished yet. so lets start the main part of this model. To live the life in satisfied way there should be necessary to clear this four points in life. And this are as follows

1. Passion

2. Profession

3. Vocation

4. Mission

This are the important pillars to find purpose of life. So again its question, how to find this. So lets start the next part.

1) Passion

Passion is something that we love to do with having good in this thing. If you love to write blogs and if you are good in  writing then this is considered as your passion. Everyone has different hobbies and love for different things so everyone would have different passion.

2) Profession

Your profession is also intersection of two question as shown in diagram. Your profession is something in which you are good means having good skills and you can get paid for this. See money does not buy you a happiness but still this is important tool in life. So lets find your profession. If you are a good singer and you get money from your concerts this is considered as your profession.

3) Vocation

This is third part of finding purpose in life. so how to find vocation in life. Vocation is a something for which we can get paid and the world also needs this. To find the vocation, let us understand about what the world need this, we are living in a society where sometime found any minor problem. So if we understand  this problem and solve, then it become good for society. After that we can take certain money which is the price of of this solution . For example, various startups solve many problems in society. Let us take the example of fintech startups which makes the financial services more efficient.

4) Mission

This is the last and the most important part in life. To find our mission, lets move to the diagram, our mission is to know about what the world needs and what we love.  Our mission includes the things which we love to do, means we forgot ourself while doing those things and what the world needs. Lets take one example to understand this, if we love to plant trees and we are living in area where the number of trees are minimum. Due to the minimum trees the amount of rain is also minimum then we can plant trees to solve this problem and this will considered as our Mission of life. So this all about finding our ikigai. All the examples used in that post are used only to understand the concept.
So this is the whole process of finding  ikigai, so be calm,  take a pen and paper and write the four intersection of passion, profession, vocation and mission. Write the things carefully and you will get your ikigai.

The Distraction

The Real Distraction: So what is distraction?  There are so many definitions are there for distraction as well as, so many peoples observed there own form of distraction on the basis of there own experience in their life. so lets simplify, distraction. In simple, "the resistance which hold peoples from achieving their goals or increasing their time to achieve their goals, is what we can consider distraction" There are again so many from of distractions, varies from people to people.
